Keeping Active at Every Age
Priority Life Care communities offer an array of daily activities and local community outings that help keep our seniors mentally and physically engaged. Our Activity Directors meet with residents regularly to find common interests to offer the right activities to get each resident actively involved. Examples of some of our activities may include, but are not limited to:
Our communities offer religious services that bring comfort and peace of mind to our residents. Many of our communities offer bible study, worship, rosary and prayer time. We have in-house services through our relationships with many different religious groups. Residents may also visit their own house of worship, if they choose.
All of our communities offer exercise classes for residents to continue to move and keep fit. Example classes are the walking club, chair yoga, chair exercises, ball toss, using the wii, and dancing. For those who need specific skilled exercises, we offer Physical and Occupational Therapists who visit the community daily.
Arts & Crafts
Painting, drawing, flower arrangements, puzzles, and more, these activities are designed to give residents an opportunity use their creativity and individuality.
Live entertainment, dances, sing-a-long and musical instruments are often incorporated in our activities schedule and events. Both a social and reminiscent activity, music provides a universal language to nurture the spirit.
Priority Life Care communities most widely loved game where residents get together weekly (sometimes more) for a fun and social game.
Educational programs, cards games, puzzles, current events, etc. Residents gather in this social environment to play memory and cognitive games as well as discussing their thoughts and opinions about today’s world.
Activities range from nearby parks for walking, picnics, fishing and gardening. Residents get back to nature by breathing in fresh air and talking walks in the park.
A favorite of some of our residents who love to share photos from their families and crafts or works of art from their grandchildren, residents tell their life stories and experiences. These memories often bring residents together and promote socialization.
Trips and Outings
Our trips range from excursions to local restaurants and trips to museums. We have weekly shopping trips to Walmart, among others shopping destinations. Small and large group outings give our residents the opportunity to remain independent, socialize and be a part of the local community around them.
