The care that each resident receives is unique to his or her needs. Each resident is assessed prior to move-in and is assessed regularly throughout their stay. This ensures our residents are always receiving the proper care for their needs.
Assisted Living provides the ideal solution for seniors who need some help with the activities of daily life (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing and medication. Our plan is a focus on overall wellness and maintaining residents’ independence.
Care-related programs offered are:
- Care staff at facility 24-hours, 7-days a week
- Personal care assistance with ADLs: hygiene, grooming, dressing and bathing
- Medication assistance and administration
- Mobility assistance
- Continence maintenance
- Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy
A few questions we are asked regularly about Assisted Living are answered below:
How much does Assisted Living cost? Each community is different and each resident is different. We will not know the charged rate until we understand the resident’s level of care. The level of care is determined by the amount of help a resident requires. We use an assessment tool and follow state guidelines for level of care in each of our communities.
Do residents have private rooms/baths? Most of our assisted Living residents have their own private apartments with private bathrooms. It is also possible to request a shared room for couples or close friends. We encourage each resident to bring items from home to decorate their rooms such as pictures, bedding, a chair or small couch, dresser, etc., in order to make them feel more comfortable and at home.
Can my loved one leave the community? Residents are able to come and go as they please. For safety reasons, we require residents to sign in and out of the community. If a resident is leaving the community for an extended amount of time, we may prepare a “to-go” of their medications, as necessary.
What will my loved one do while they are in the community? Our hope is that your loved one continues to be active and involved in every day life. Our communities offer different activities throughout the day and outings into the local community. Our friendly activities staff will get to know the residents on a personal level and schedule activities encouraging residents to continue with their interests.
