    About Legacy Living

Legacy Living at Arlington is a purpose-built memory care community conveniently located in Arlington, Texas, between Dallas and Fort Worth, with easy access to Highways 121 and 30. We are adjacent to River Legacy Park East and Elzie Odom Athletic Center and within three miles of the spectacular AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Park, and Six Flags Over Texas.

Common areas of our community have recently been updated. You will find four neighborhoods of fifteen residents who live in private furnished rooms with private bathrooms. This allows for a peaceful environment for neighbors to enjoy. Each neighborhood provides a home environment, including the living spaces, life enrichment, and dining experience.

Our beautiful outdoor area, lush with gardens and walking paths, is private and secure. It was designed so each path leads back to the community so a resident may never get lost. Residents and family members enjoy our relaxing walking paths, gazebos, and outdoor patio. Lovely landscaping and raised-bed resident gardens provide a calming space and activity for the residents’ enjoyment.

    Life Enrichment Programming

Legacy Living at Arlington’s specialized Life Experiences department was created to deliver activities based on each resident’s cognitive and physical abilities. Each experience or activity is specifically chosen to connect and relate to our residents.

Legacy Living practices Namaste Care, a program designed by Joyce Simard, MSW, an internationally recognized dementia expert. Namaste Care uses person-centered approaches to improve quality of life through meaningful sensory activities that stimulate the senses, promote relaxation, and offer comfort and serenity.

Caring for people with dementia is what we do.  Each resident is surrounded by an environment tailored for those with the unique challenges of memory loss, creating a special environment for our residents. At Legacy Living at Arlington, we help our residents thrive in cozy, familiar environments.

    Dining Program

At Legacy Living, we make our meals from scratch and offer an alternative menu if residents are not interested in the daily menu. Dining is an intimate setting with just 15 people in each neighborhood dining room. Meals are served by our friendly staff in small courses. In addition, we are able to puree foods, if required, and meet specific dietary requirements.

Short-Term Respite Care and Adult Day Stay Programs

Residents in short-term respite care receive all of our amenities and care, but for a shorter, predetermined length of stay. Respite care is for loved ones who may need a little help after a hospital or rehab stay, or when caregivers plan a family vacation or just need some time to relax and recharge. We are here for you. Call and ask us about our respite care package.

Our adult day stay program is for seniors who need supervision during daytime hours. Instead of staying at home alone, seniors remain in a safe and supportive environment and are encouraged to be a part of the community activities and events.

Testimonial

“We moved our mom, and Legacy helped her with the transition to a new place. We are pleased with how they handled that with patience and kindness. The staff is dedicated to their residents and are prepared for all kinds of behavior. The staff is cooperative with family requests and the special needs of my mom. All I have to do is call and they are willing to accommodate the family. The activity director is one of the strong points at Legacy. She is caring and enjoys her job to the max. I am grateful for Legacy. It gives us peace of mind.“
