Priority Life Care Earns Great Place to Work Recognition

For the second consecutive year, Priority Life Care has earned national recognition as a Great Place to Work.

The Great Place to Work Institute and its senior care partner, Activated Insights, recently honored Priority Life Care with Great Place to Work certification for its May 2023-May 2024 annual recognition cycle, following its first certification for the May 2022-May 2023 cycle.

The intensive certification process involved surveying employees from across Priority Life Care’s more than 40 communities and evaluating more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job, including employee pride in the organization’s community impact; belief that their work makes a difference; and feeling their work has special meaning. Rankings are based on employees’ experiences, no matter who they are or what they do.

“Earning Great Place to Work certification for the second year in a row is an incredible honor for our entire team and a reflection of the effort we all put into making Priority Life Care a truly great place to work,” said Sevy Petras, CEO and founder of Priority Life Care. “We pride ourselves on a culture built around family, connection and compassion. We want our team to know the work they do is important and has an impact on people’s lives – and this year’s Great Place to Work certification helps reinforce that.”

More than 90 percent of Priority Life Care employees participated in the surveys, with nearly 80 percent of respondents categorizing it as a Great Place to Work. Other survey highlights from Priority Life Care employees included:

  • 89 percent agreed with the statement their work has a purpose
  • 85 percent believe they make a difference at the company
  • 85 percent feel a sense of pride about their accomplishments at Priority Life Care
  • 83 percent believe they have the trust of management to do a good job

“We applaud Priority Life Care for seeking certification and publicly sharing its employees’ feedback,” said Dr. Jacquelyn Kung with Activated Insights. “These ratings measure its capacity to earn its own employees’ trust and create a great workplace for high performance.”

This is the second national recognition Priority Life Care has earned over the past few weeks. On May 9, the company announced that 12 of its communities have earned the highest possible rating in U.S. News & World Report’s 2023-24 edition of Best Senior Living, which was recently released and recognizes communities that excel in independent living, assisted living and/or memory care from across the United States.
